FYI, most of Ascendance of a Bookworm was initially written and posted on Shōsetsuka ni Narō (aka "Let's Become a Novelist") as a web novel (it's only in Japanese), so people who have read/translated the web novel have known like 95% of the plot before it was published anywhere else.
Sounds good to me. I haven't heard that Kazuki-sensei is planning anything like this, but who knows.

Wit Studio is pretty well known, so I don't expect a drop off in quality. We'll see if they do a character redesign, though, which could be a problem.
We know the language origins for many of the names (mostly German, but Italian and others for more recent names). Should we try to add a pronunciation key to pronounce the names?
You can often just put the name in Google translate and it will figure out the language and give an example audio pronunciation. The tricky thing will be the form of the pronunciation key... should it be based on English word fragment pronunciation? Should we use special characters (many people don't know what they mean).
Or maybe this isn't something anyone else cares about.

@Freako Geeko I guess we have different standards of quality. Except for Non Non Biyori I wouldn't count any of the ones you mentioned as that good or meeting the threshold of 3 seasons, so many of the ones you mentioned don't meet that standard.
Counting magical girl series as quality is a pretty low standard.
@NoNickNeeded although I appreciated the quality from a source to anime adaptation, I found Land of the Lustrous kind of meh and overrated. I will say the fight scenes were a head trip, but so were the ones in Sarazanmai which I also thought was overrated.

Again, nitpicking. Your two examples are pretty trivial. I more wondered why the guard let a foreign noble through the gates against the rules with no particular explanation.
The biggest problem is that this is a non-shounen so only gets one cour to tell a story that a shounen would get 2-cours to tell. It is obvious S3 (and probably S1 & S2) could easily have been 20+ episodes, but just got less that 13 per season because they are non-shounen and even worse, featured a female lead.
The only non-shounen with a female lead to get fair treatment in the recent past is Fruits Basket and Chihayafuru.
Printed source material readers are almost never satisfied with anime adaptations and non-shounen anime often are far more dissatisfying, because non-shounen readers somehow expect their favorites to get the same or similar treatment to shounen... this is super unrealistic.
That said, I understand how you feel, since there is so much more character and world building that could have been included.
Most of you don't realize how crazy rare it is for stories like Ascendance to get 3 seasons of anime. Temper your criticism with the knowledge that you're incredibly lucky and should try to support the producers of the anime as much as possible. Petty criticisms don't make the chance of another season more likely.
Even though the LN might be ending, the mangas are still ongoing and anime aren't always adapted to only sell the original source media.
LN and manga readers are almost never satisfied with anime adaptations, so shooting for their satisfaction is a lost cause. So, I hope the don't aim for that and just try to adapt enough of the story so their aren'y too many obvious loose ends or obvious gaps. Also, obvious to LN and manga readers aren't what I mean.
