Bosgeiz is a country previously connected to Eisenreich, the duchy which later became Ehrenfest, via the country gate located in Kirnberger. [1]
Geography
Nothing is know of the geography of the country of Bosgeiz. It exists in a different dimension than Yurgenschmidt, and was reached via teleportation using the country gate. It is possible that it exists in the same dimension as other countries reached via the other country gates.[2]
History
In the past, Bosgeiz was a valued trade partner of Yurgenschmidt, leading to the border city of Kirnberger in the duchy of Eisenreich becoming a sizable and wealthy trade hub. They bought large amounts of iron directly from Eisenreich, as well as any feystones they could get their hands on, due to how exceptionally rare and hard to get they are beyond Yurgenschmidt's borders.
A little over 200 years ago, the Bosgeiz government managed to convince the Aub Eisenreich of the time to attempt to usurp the crown. However, this plan fell through when Aub Eisenreich's daughter informed the Zent of the impending insurrection. Before the allies could muster their forces, the royals closed the country gate and launched a preemptive attack that crushed Eisenreich. The country gate has remained closed ever since.
With the closure being so sudden, a considerable number of Bosgeiz citizens - primarily merchants - were stuck in the Yurgenschmidt, unable to ever return to their home. The wealthiest among them were able to afford local citizenship and open up stores in the cities of the now diminished duchy of Eisenreich, but a considerable number of the stragglers were forced to scatter to the four winds as traveling merchants.[1]
