Corinna (コリンナ Korinna) is a skilled and influential seamstress who works at her family's business, the Gilberta Company. Benno is her older brother.
She and her husband Otto are expecting their first child,[1] who will be born in the winter.[2]
Appearance
Corinna is a beautiful woman with light blond hair that she wears braided up behind her head. She has a gentle and feminine demeanor, but becomes very enthusiastic when discussing design and sewing.
Personality
While Corinna has a warm and gentle personality, she also has a sharp sense for business and a good understanding of pricing and contract negotiation.[3] She can be pensive at times, as when she worried about whether her husband Otto was happy with his work as a soldier.[4]
History
Corinna was raised by her older brother, Benno[5] and became a seamstress at her family business, the Gilberta Company. She eventually accepted the courtship of Otto, a travelling merchant who fell in love with her at first sight.[6] Otto bought citizenship in Ehrenfest, and the two married. They live in an apartment on an upper floor of the Gilberta Company building.
Story
Season 1
Episode 6: Meeting
When Myne agrees to trade Otto a jar of shampoo in exchange for some nails, he takes her to his home in the merchants' neighborhood of the lower city.
Corinna greets Myne warmly and is excited to try the shampoo. While Myne washes her hair, she asks her whether Otto seems to enjoy his life at the gate, and whether he misses his life as a merchant. Myne assures her that her husband seems very happy and has plenty of opportunities to use his skills as a merchant, much to her relief.
Upon seeing Corinna's freshly washed and glossy hair, Otto hurriedly pays Myne her nails and ushers her out the door so he can have some time alone with his wife.
