Part 2

Since she doesn't want to be forced into becoming a waitress and thus being required to provide sexual services to customers who payed her uncle for this, she jumps at the chance of becoming an assistant chef when Benno comes to the eatery guild, even though it means having to work at the temple, which does not have a good reputation among commoners.

There she is the subordinate and kind of apprentice of Hugo, a more senior chef, who works for Myne to be trained to cook food suitable for nobles for the Italian Restaurant - a high-class eatery that Benno is building.

She believes that Myne is a rich noble girl. Therefore, she isn't surprised about her employer never directly interacting with the chefs, but instead passing her instructions and recipes to them written down on wooden boards, which then have to be read to them by her attendant Fran due to both of them being illiterate.

Part 3

When Hugo finishes his training and thus moves to become the head chef of the Italian Restaurant, Myne is left without a personal chef. But thanks to Ella having honed her skills to a sufficient degree, she is promoted from Hugo's assistant to Myne's own personal chef. The position however didn't mean that Ella would only work at the temple, but also on most of her travels, like the tour for the Spring Prayer and some of the journeys to gather alchemical ingredients for a magical potion.

During her service to Myne, it is revealed that Ella's mistress was not just a rich girl, but in fact a very high-ranking noble, and that her real name is Rozemyne, shortly before the girl is adopted by the Archduke himself, elevating her position even further. As her personal chef, Ella naturally accompanies her mistress to her family's estate and later to the archduke's castle.

While Rozemyne is sleeping her two-year-sleep in the jureve, Hugo proposes to Ella, and the two decided to marry. Though with the two of them being personal chefs to nobility, they can not marry without permission by their master or mistress. With Rozemyne being unconscious and her legal guardian High Priest Ferdinand unwilling to make this decision, the wedding has to wait until Rozemyne wakes up again, much to Hugo's dismay.

Part 4

When Rozemyne finally wakes up, almost two full years have passed. Due to the being swamped in work to prepare for her upcoming first term at the Royal Academy, Rozemyne is unable to talk to her chefs about their marriage prior to leaving.

Rozemyne takes Ella along to the Royal Academy as her personal chef to cook for her and her fellow students. When Rozemyne temporarily returns to Ehrenfest for the Dedication Ritual, she takes Ella back to Ehrenfest with her, while the other chefs stay at the Royal Academy to keep providing the other students with food.

Part 4 Volume 4

Once Rozemyne's first term at the Royal Academy is finished and they return to the temple, Rozemyne not only gives her permission for Ella and Hugo to marry, but also gives them a generous sum of money, partially a bonus for their work at the Royal Academy and partially a gift for their wedding preparations. While they can have a shared room at the castle, the strict gender separation within the temple means they will have to decide whether they want to stay in separate rooms while there, or rent a place in the lower city and commute to work. Either way they will still have their rooms at the temple, even if they decide to commute.

Usually it falls to the soon-to-be wife to weave and sew the bed-clothes for their new home, but due to the peculiarities of her employment, Ella will likely not be able to do so. Thankfully, Ella's mother volunteered to make the necessary cloth in her place.

Part 5 Volume 5

At some point between the conclusion of Rozemyne's third year at the Royal Academy and the following Archduke Conference, Ella discovers she's pregnant and is granted maternity leave. As such she remains at home, while her husband accompanies Lady Rozemyne to the conference.
