Lady Florencia is two years older than Lord Sylvester, and has the incredible power of being able to control her husband. | ”

Florencia (フロレンツィア, Furorentsia) is the first wife of Sylvester, the archduke of Ehrenfest. She is the mother of Wilfried, Charlotte, and Melchior and the adoptive mother of Rozemyne.
Appearance
Florencia has indigo eyes and straight, light-blonde hair that is close to silver. She has a peaceful smile and gives off the impression of a gentle, refined beauty.[3]
Personality
In contrast to her demure appearance, Florencia has a cool head and a firm attitude. She is a strict, no-nonsense mother and is one of the few people who can keep tabs on Sylvester and Wilfried.[3] Even when she is deeply upset or angry, she can maintain perfect composure.
History
Florencia was born the daughter of the previous Aub Frenbeltag and his third wife,[1] , making her an archduke candidate of Frenbeltag.[4] However, her older brother was favored to inherit, while Florencia was expected to make a political marriage.
At age ten, she entered the Royal Academy. Two years later, Sylvester entered the academy as well. During their school years, he fell in love with her. Although it is considered very rare for a noblewoman to marry a younger man, he went to great lengths to persuade her and her family to accept his courtship. Finally, he won their approval to escort Florencia at the graduation ceremony.[5]
After Sylvester came of age, Florencia married him and moved to Ehrenfest, as his first and only wife. His decision not to take a second wife frustrated nobles of the Leisegang faction, who for several generations had wanted an archduke candidate with more Ehrenfest blood.[6] To make matters worse, Florencia was immediately ostracized by Veronica, her new mother-in-law. She found sympathy and support with Elvira and joined her political faction. Although Elvira remained the leader of the faction, it came to be called the "Florencia" faction due to her higher rank.[7]
When Florencia gave birth to her first child Wilfried, Veronica claimed that it would be dangerous to trust him to someone who had just married into the family. As a result, Florencia was denied control over her son's upbringing and was only able to see him briefly during family dinners. Because her time with her son was so limited, she didn't realize that Wilfried's education was going very poorly.[8]
Satisfied with her control over Wilfried, Veronica had no interest in Florencia's other two children, Charlotte and Melchior. Florencia was able to raise the two of them with all the love and strictness they needed to become proper archduke candidates. Her education was seemingly very effective. Charlotte's skills and capabilities soon matched and then exceeded her older brother's.
During the Sovereignty civil war, Frenbeltag was one of the losing duchies. While Florencia was safe due to having wedded into the neutral Ehrenfest, her father, the previous Aub Frenbeltag, was executed in the political purge. Her older brother subsequently inherited the position.[4]
Florencia was overjoyed when Veronica was finally imprisoned. However, she was careful to avoid discussing it around Wilfried because she knew she would invariably lose control of her emotions.[9] When Sylvester decided to adopt Rozemyne as his daughter, Florencia agreed it was the best choice for Ehrenfest, and considered it a "rare instance of Sylvester making a very wise decision.[10]

Trivia
- Privately, Florencia thinks that Elvira is more reliable than her husband Sylvester. She keeps this to herself, since it would only make him jealous.[10]
- Florencia's days as a student at the Royal Academy overlapped with Professor Rauffen's, and she saw him single-handedly take the Dunkelfelger knights to greater heights.[14]
- Florencia, despite having Giebe Leisegang's half-brother among her retainers, wasn't fully informed about Wilfried's education. Regular reports indicated his lagging progress, but the true extent shocked her. The lack of disclosure from Wilfried's retainers and Veronica added to the surprise, as the grim reality was kept under wraps.[9]
