Freida (フリーダ Furīda) is the granddaughter of Gustav, the master of the Merchant's Guild.
History
Similar to Myne, Freida suffers from the Devouring and thus has a stunted growth that makes her appear younger than she actually is. Her grandfather, who is the guildmaster of the Merchant's Guild, used his vast wealth and connections to buy Freida magic tools that would slow down the Devouring and prolong Freida's lifespan and found a noble for her to sign with. She will leave for the nobles' quarter after reaching adulthood and plans to open up a store there.
Personality
Freida acts very mature and formal for her age, largely due to her family's connection with nobles and as she is required to learn behaving like a noble before moving into the nobles' quarter. She is sly and cunning in her business senses which allows her to foresee potential business opportunities where other's may not.
Like most of her family she is very forcecfull and outright pushy in business negotiations and has something of a rivalry going with Benno over the competition for Myne's recipies.
Story
She meets Myne and Lutz and is happy to receive the hair ornament, having desired one since seeing Tuuli wear one. When Myne was about to be consumed be the Devouring, she sold a broken magic tool to Myne and saved her. She tells Myne about her future as noble's mistress to survive. Myne chooses to wither away by her family's side which Freida can't comprehend. As Myne was recovering they spend time together at Freida's home until her baptism. They spend their time leisure making sweets and other girls' stuff. There she buys exclusive rights for pound cakes for the duration of a year. Following her baptism she assumes her apprenticeship in the Merchant's guild.
