Gervasio is the former king of Lanzenave.[4] After his failed attempt to take over Yurgenschmidt, his schtappe was destroyed and he has become a prisoner for life.
History
Born at the Adalgisa Villa, with the assigned number Terza, the boy had the highest mana capacity out of all the children of his generationand thus was chosen to be sent back to Lanzenave to become it's next king upon coming of age and consequently was given his proper name Gervasio. To keep the whole deal between Lanzenave and Yurgenschmidt secret, he was only allowed to leave the Adalgisa Villa and enter the rest of the Royal Academy, duing the seasons, when no students were around. The staff of the academy was told that he was a member of a royal family branch and could not attend the regular curriculum due to poor health. During the springs, summers and autumns he often visited the Royal Academy Library and got along very well with Professor Solange.
His supposed poor health was again used, when it became time for Gervasio to leave for Lanzenave. The people who had come into contact with him at the academy, were told, that he had to leave the Sovereignty due to his health.
Gervasio first met Raublut, when the young sovereign knight was assigned to guard house Loweleier as his first assignment as a knight. The two quickly developed deep respect for each other, with the latter coming to believe that Gervasio, would have made a much better Zent than the one ruling the country at the time or his successor Waldifried.
Apart from brothers, who were all eventually executed and sent to Lanzenave as feystones, he had two sisters. His older sister Seradina was the flower of House Loweleier, and thus he had no contact with her. He had a very clsoe relationship with his younger sister Valamarlene, with whom he grew up in the side building. He also had a third sister, who was a gardener, but it is unclear how close he was to her.
Due to how close he was with Valamarlene, he tried to get her out of the Adalgisa villa by arranging a marriage between her and Raublut. Against all odds, this plan seemed to succeed and the Zent agreed to the engagement. However, before the marriage could happen, Seradina and Aub Adelbert of Ehrenfest managed to get their son Ferdinand, whom Gervasio only heard of by his designated number Quinta, out of the villa, at the cost of Seradina taking his place to become a feystone. In her place, Valamarlene was chosen to become Loweleier's next flower, which automatically canceled the engagement and dashed any hope of her freeing her from the villa, as well as preventing any contact between the siblings. No longer having any way to protect or even see his younger sister, Gervasio asked his loyal retainer Raublut to keep her safe, which he vowed to do.
After the civil war, the Adalgisa villa was closed by the new Zent Trauerqual and all it's remaining inhabitants were executed, including Valamarlene, which would eventually set off Gervasio and Raublut's plans to conquer Yurgenschimdt, so they could abolish the inhumane Adalgisa deal for good and never let anything like it happen again.[4]
