Creation of the World
The God of Darkness, who lived a lonely life for a long time, one day met the Goddess of Light. They fell in love, married, and eventually had four children; The Goddess of Water, Flutrane; the God of Fire, Leidenschaft; the Goddess of Wind, Schutzaria; and the Goddess of Earth, Geduldh. The births of these deities is what lead to the creation of the world.[1]
There was also a Goddess of Chaos, who fell in love with the God of Darkness, despite it being taboo.[2]
Ewigeliebe and Geduldh
One day, the God of Life, Ewigeliebe, fell in love with the youngest daughter, Geduldh, at first sight. He asked the God of Darkness for her hand in marriage, to which the God of Darkness happily agreed, hoping that they would give birth to many children. However the God of Life’s love for the Goddess of Earth was a jealous and possessive love, and so froze the Goddess of Earth with ice and snow, hiding her, as well as impregnating her, creating the season of Winter.
The Goddess of Light, who had not seen her daughter since her marriage, began to worry, and upon finding the frozen Geduldh used her sunlight to melt the ice. The Goddess of Water washed away the melted ice that was the weakened God of Life, revealing the children, the seeds. Along with the goddesses that served her, Flutrane lent her strength to the seeds, allowing them to bloom, creating the season of Spring.
Once Flutrane and her goddesses were exhausted, Leidenschaft and his gods picked up the torch, spreading warmth and allowing the planted lives to grow and ripen, creating the season of Summer. However as the God of Life, the growth of life empowers him, leading to his pursuit of the Goddess of Earth once again. To keep him away the Goddess of Wind, Schutzaria combined her powers with the Goddess of Earth, sending a gale to keep the God of Life away, and bringing about the time for the crops to be harvested, creating the season of Autumn.
As killing the God of Life would prevent any new lives from being born, the deities could only grit their teeth and allow the cycle to continue anew. And so Winter, the season of the God of Life, began again.[1]
Erwaermen's Role and Decision
When Ewigeliebe fell in love, one of his subordinate gods Erwaermen the God of Binding assisted him in his proposal to Geduldh and acquiring the God of Darkness' permission to marry her. When Erwaermen saw how Ewigeliebe treated his new wife and her subordinates, he was outraged. He gathered Geduldh's subordinate goddesses and guided them to Flutrane, determined to save their mistress. In the guilt and shame of his role in binding the threads that led to Geduldh's suffering, Erwaermen retired from his position as god and passed both his duties and his powers to Liebeskhilfe.[3]
Battle for Verfuhremeer's Hand
Two of Leidenschafts subordinate gods wished to take Verfuhremeer's hand in marriage. The goddess of Oceans did not wish to marry either of them at the time, but didn't want to entirely refuse them, so she proposed that if she were unable to find a partner for herself, she would marry whichever of the two won a duel. Due to their hotheaded nature, the two gods almost immediately started to fight and over time other gods were drawn into their battle as well.
When other goddesses informed Verfuhremeer about the fighting, that had escalated to the scale of a small war, she immediately rushed to the battlefield and used her powers to cool everyone down.[4]
Albeit it's origin was forgotten for a long time and only recently rediscovered, the duchy of Dunkelfelger faithfully performed a ritual based on this incident, throughout their history, in which an archduke candidate transforms their schtappe into Verfuhremeer's Staff.[5]
