Helfried is the ruling lord of the Ehrenfest province Illgner. He is a mednoble, so he can also be called Viscount Illgner.

Appearance

Helfried has red hair, green eyes, and facial features that closely resemble Brigitte, his sister.

Personality

Having grown up in a very distant rural province, Helfried has a very relaxed personality and is quite happy to socialise with commoners. When visiting Ehrenfest, he is able to put on the mask of nobility so that he fits in, though after prolonged stays in his home that switch to his proper noble persona doesn't come naturally and requires some prodding from the head-attendant of his winter mansion.

History

Helfried was born and raised in Illgner. Soon after coming of age, his father died, and he became the giebe. Other nobles tried to use his inexperience to take over the province by marrying his sister, Brigitte. Brigitte cancelled her engagement to stop this from happening, however, this caused her former fiancé Hassheit to work against Illgner and cause trouble for Giebe Illgner and the province.

Story

Helfried met Rozemyne during winter socialising where she proposed visiting Illgner to make paper, as the province has a large lumber industry. Rozemyne ended up visiting the next summer and leaves behind Lutz, Gil, Damian, and four grey priests to teach the locals how to make paper as well as to research new paper. During this time, Giebe Illgner threw a large barbecue feast for her, where he and his family happily interacted with their commoners showing their close relationship.
