Lasfam (ラザファム, Razafamu) is an attendant who manages Ferdinand's personal estate in the Noble’s Quarter of Ehrenfest.[5]
Appearance
Lasfam is around 22 years old[3] and 177cm tall. He has dark green, almost black hair and green eyes. He was born in Spring and has a Red ring.[1]
History
Originally, Lasfam was assigned to Ferdinand as an insult by Lady Veronica. With their low mana capacity, laynobles aren't able to use all the magic tools expected in an archduke candidate household, so by assigning him Lasfam, she made sure that his attendant would be seen as incompetent, which in turn meant that her followers had one more way to mock him for being "unable" to secure competent personnel.
Most retainers that Veronica had forced on Ferdinand happily joined in on tormenting him to gain standing in the Veronica faction, but Lasfam did not. When Ferdinand personally asked him to do as the others did so Lasfam wouldn't have to suffer so much, Lasfam refused, stating that doing so would only prove the mockery of him being a failure as an attendant true. Ironically, this made Ferdinand even more suspicious of him, since he suspected Lasfam might be a spy trying to play nice to gain more information from him. Only when Lasfam gave Ferdinand his name did he earn his masters trust.
Upon his entry into the temple, Ferdinand offered to return Eckhart and Justus's names, but asked Lasfam to stay in his service and care for the mansion in his absence, to which Lasfam happily agreed.[4]
Story
Concurrent with Part 2 Volume 1
When Justus and Eckhart are assigned to gather information about Myne in the lower city of Ehrenfest, Lasfam helps Justus change from his noble clothing into merchant attire. He is somewhat confused at being asked to prepare a bag with a random assortment of vegetables, which Justus intends to use as a prop for his disguise.[5]
Part 4 Volume 8
In preparation for Ferdinand's move to Ahrensbach for his marriage, he holds a meeting with only his three loyal, name-sworn retainers. He orders Eckhart and Justus to come with him to Ahrensbach. Lasfam also wishes to accompany him there, but Ferdinand refuses, stating that it would be too much of a risk to take someone along who can't defend himself. Much to Lasfam's relief, however, Ferdinand does not offer to return his name and keeps him in his service, albeit at a distance.[4]
Trivia
- According to the Character Design Sheets, Lasfam was originally meant to be around 27 years old[1], but this was apparently changed later to him being 1 year older than Ferdinand, which would make him initially 22 at his first appearance.[3]
