Leberecht (レーベレヒト, Reeberehito) is an archscholar who serves as Florencia's retainer.[5] He is married to Ottilie. They have three sons together,[6] the youngest of whom is Hartmut.[1]
Appearance
According to Rozemyne, Leberecht looks exactly like an older version of his son Hartmut.[2]
Unlike his son, however, Leberecht is careful to keep up an emotionless facade at all times, only letting it slip in very extreme situations.[7]
Personality
Leberecht believes that a retainer of the archducal family should never show emotions and acts accordingly. While he appears to have little issue with his son Hartmut's devotion to his lady, he seems to be rather frustrated with how openly he expresses and shows his emotions and considers it his own failure in properly raising the boy.[7]
Much like Hartmut, Leberecht is very enthusiastic about his occupation and at threat of getting carried away, as was demonstrated at the glee with which he researched and built traps to ward off Lady Georgine's invasion of Ehrenfest and began to scribble down notes on how well they worked, while the battle was raging in other parts of the very same room he was in.[3]
History
Leberecht is the half-brother of the current Count Leisegang, and he and his family are members of the Leisegang political faction. He is said to be very good at gathering information.[8]
He is the father of three sons, of whom Hartmut is the youngest and Oliswalt the oldest.[3]
Story
During Rozemyne's third year at the Royal Academy, Aub Ehrenfest is too busy with the ongoing purge of the former Veronica faction and thus delegates the reports coming from the Royal Academy to his wife. As her retainer and scholar, Leberecht is naturally very involved in this activity. When Florencia faints from the stress of the task, Leberecht and his fellow scholars assist Aub Ehrenfest in handling the letters while their lady recovers.[7]
