Ascendance of a Bookworm: I'll do anything to become a librarian! (本好きの下剋上 ~司書になるためには手段を選んでいられません~ Honzuki no Gekokujō ~Shisho ni Naru Tame niwa Shudan o Erandeiraremasen~) is series of independent manga adaptations based on the light novels of the same name. The manga were originally serialized online at the Niconico Seiga website and licensed by TO Books.
- The first manga adaptation (JPN: October 2015 - Ongoing) is illustrated by Suzuka. It covers Part 1 Volume 1 through Part 2 Volume 2 of the light novel, and is expected to continue through Part 2 Volume 4.
- The second adaptation (JPN: April 2018 - Ongoing) is illustrated by Ryo Namino and is expected to cover Part 3 Volume 1 through Part 3 Volume 5 of the light novel.
- The third adaptation (JPN: December 2020 - Ongoing) is illustrated by Hikaru Katsuki and is expected to cover Part 4 Volume 1 through Part 4 Volume 9 of the light novel.
- The official comic anthology series (JPN: July 2019 - Ongoing) is a collection of short, fan-made manga. It features Ryo Namino and Suzuka as illustrators.
International Release
Currently, only the first manga adaptation by Suzuka has recieved official translations.
The English translation (Ascendance of a Bookworm: I'll do anything to become a librarian!, June 2019 - Ongoing) is translated by Quof and licensed for print by J-Novel Club. It is expected to cover both Part 1 and Part 2 of the manga series. The manga is also available in ebook format from Amazon, Apple Books, Kobo and Bookwalker.
The French translation (La petite faiseuse de livres, February 2020 - March 2021) is licensed by Ototo Manga and covers Part 1 of the manga series (volumes 1 - 7). The Taiwanese translation (小書痴的下剋上, February 2020 - August 2020) is licensed by Crown Culture Corporation and translated by 許金玉. It covers Part 1 of the manga series (volumes 1 - 7). The Spanish translation (El ratón de biblioteca, September 2020 - Ongoing) is licensed by Kitsune Books and translated by Raquel Videl and Joan Eloi Roca. It is expected to cover Part 1 of the manga series (volumes 1 - 7).
Volumes
If there aren't any books, I'll just have to make some! is the first part of the manga in the Ascendance of a Bookworm series, illustrated by Suzuka and was serialized online via Niconico Seiga website between October 2015 and July 2018. It adapted Part 1 of Ascendance of a Bookworm and was collected in seven tankōbon volumes by TO Books.
I'll even join the temple to read books! is the second part of the manga in the Ascendance of a Bookworm series and began online via Niconico Seiga serialization in September 2018. It adapts Part 2 of Ascendance of a Bookworm and is illustrated by Suzuka.
Let's spread Books throughout the Duchy! is the third part of the manga in the Ascendance of a Bookworm series and began online via Niconico Seiga serialization in April 2018. It adapts Part 3 of Ascendance of a Bookworm and is illustrated by Ryo Namino.
Let's Save the Royal Academy's Library! is the fourth part of the manga in the Ascendance of a Bookworm series and began online via Niconico Seiga serialization in December 2020. It adapts Part 4 of Ascendance of a Bookworm and is illustrated by Hikaru Katsuki.

Lastly, the series an official comic anthology series. This is a collection of fan-made short manga.
