Marianne (マリアンネ, Marianne) is an apprentice archscholar from Ehrenfest and one of Charlotte's retainers.[2]
Story
Marianne is the one writing down the information that Lady Charlotte sends back to her parents on the information she and her retainers are able to gather at the Royal Academy and any noteworthy event taking place there. After she finishes compiling the information, she meets with a Hartmut and Ignaz - her counterparts in Rozemyne's and Wilfried's service - at the bottom of the stairs separating the boys and girls levels of the dormitory, where the two boys hand the reports of their respective masters over to her, so they can be sent to Ehrenfest together.
This arrangement allows Charlotte and her retainers to read the reports of their seniors and learn from them, before sending them back home.[2]
In Charlotte's second year at the Royal Academy, the decision is made to cooperate with Drewanchel in researching paper magic tools. With Rozemyne being already involved with two other joint research projects with greater duchies, she heeds Professor Gundolf's advice and delegates this one to other apprentice scholars of her duchy. Due to the high profile of the project, Wilfried and Charlotte decide to put Marianne and Ignaz - their respective head scholars - in charge of overseeing this.[3]
