While the creation process occurs, goes to meet with in the hidden room to discuss the visit to , a region known for its forestry. In addition, the printing press is completed. asks that they focus on text-based books instead of picture books with the new press.
Both Brigitte and Rozemyne are pleased with the prototype version of the dress, as is Damuel who was invited in to give feedback.
The trial run of the printing press is successful and Rozemyne is pleased. Rozemyne immediately requests a printing press to be sent to Hasse as well as for Zack to design a hand pump.
Hugo asks to leave the Italian Restaurant to become a court chef, and while Benno watches, Rozemyne makes him reconsider and become her personal chef. Benno communicates his plan to split off from the Gilberta Company. Benno requests that Rozemyne name the new company, and they settle on Plantin.
During the Archduke Conference, Rozemyne and Wilfried are brought to the foundation's mana replenishment room to donate mana to Ehrenfest's foundation. Afterwards, Elvira confronts Rozemyne about the new dress, as Rozemyne had not asked for approval from noble society first, and informs her that she would have to unveil the plans early for it to be accepted at the Starbind ceremony.
Rihyarda forces Rozemyne to learn needlework, such as lacework and embroidery. The tea party happens and is a success. Rozemyne advertises both the Gilberta Company and the now separate Plantin Company. New suggestions are made to improve the dress and new orders are given.
Angelica passed her classes and Rozemyne donates mana to her manablade, spawning a new creation: Stenluke, the talking sword which speaks in Ferdinand's voice. Ferdinand is appalled and Rozemyne is forbidden from making any further mana donations. Rozemyne also teaches Damuel her mana compression method so that he can increase his mana capacity for Brigitte.
Rozemyne thinks about printing sheet music and a recipe book.
Benno meets with Rozemyne to discuss Tuuli's future as well as discussing the trip to Illgner.
When Sylvester returns from the Archduke Conference, he brings the news that his older sister Georgine will be visiting due to the passing of her beloved uncle, Bezewanst, of which she was not informed until a year after his death. Sylvester also plans to bring Ferdinand back to noble society at the Starbind Ceremony, and Rozemyne advises him to speak to Ferdinand about it, and not to force it as it should be Ferdinand's opinion whether he returns.
The Starbind Ceremony proceeds, and Ferdinand is reinstated as a noble. In addition, Brigitte's dress debut is successful, with a touch of drama as her former suitor attempted to get back into her good graces, only for Damuel to declare his undying love, telling her to wait a year for his mana level to match hers.
On the day of the book sale, Rozemyne meets with Giebe Illgner to discuss visitation plans to Illgner as well as prove to the Giebe that Rozemyne's support for them and Brigitte is genuine. The book sale is also successful.
Rozemyne heads to Illgner to drop off the gray priests and the representatives of the Plantin Company as well as sign the business contract. After some preliminary exploring, for future materials, they return home.
They depart for Mount Lohenberg to gather the egg of a Riesefalkes for the jureve.
With the completion of the prototype for the hand pumps, Benno advises her to speak to her adoptive father, Sylvester, for a duchy wide contract to protect business interests.
Georgine visits Ehrenfest near the end of summer. After opening up contact with all her former associates, she finds out about Rozemyne's involvement in the Bezewanst affair, as well as mentioning her future plans to make Ehrenfest her own by conquering the foundation. Dirk's old submission contract is broken and a new one is prepared should Dirk need it so that Rozemyne's influence can protect him.
Completed paper prototypes are sent to Rozemyne for research purposes. Rozemyne turns the paper into a harisen, which Ferdinand confiscates. Georgine's departure is one hand, so they meet at the castle to say goodbye. However, Wilfried ruins the atmosphere of departure by inviting Georgine back next summer. Ferdinand returns the harisen to Rozemyne, who promptly uses it to scold Wilfried for his tactless behavior. In addition, she scolds the archducal family for not informing Wilfried of his grandmother's imprisonment.
Rozemyne plans to visit Hasse to inform them of their tactless letter writing and misuse of noble euphemisms and plans to send gray priests to educate them during the winter months.
Meanwhile, the old Veronican faction stirs thanks to Georgine's presence, and a plot to destabilize the archducal family in preparation for Georgine's planned takeover begins to be formed.
