Raufereg is an archduke candidate of Dunkelfelger, the son of Werdekraf and his second wife.[4]
Personality
Contrary to what is expected of an archduke candidate, Raufereg acts more like a knight, than someone of his position most of the time. He is as obsessed as any Dunkelfelgerian with ditter and tends to charge in without thinking things through.[2]
Despite hating intelectual studies and reading in general, even he enjoyed reading the book "A Ditter Story" by an Ehrenfest author writing under the pen name Lord Shubort.[1]
Story
Due to the uniqueness of the occurance, some children still too young to attend the Royal Academy are given special permission to attend the Transference Ceremony, in which the Divine Avatar of Mestionora bestows the Grutrissheit on Zent Eglantine, including Lungtase. Raufereg however isn't permitted to watch and left at home, due to his poor behaviour posing too much of a risk of embarressing them and by extension their entire duchy before the new Zent and the gathered archducal families of the entire country.[4]
When Raufereg learns that in other duchies even knights only rarely play ditter, he takes it upon himself to "safe" Hannelore from this, in his opinion, horrible fate by marrying her. Hannelore's attempt to reject him gently backfires, with the boy and many other students misunderstanding her rejection to be solely because of him not following the usual process, rather than a lack of interest in boys so much younger than her in general and as well as him as an individual.[1]
