Retainer (家臣?, Kashin?) is the general term for serving in one of the three main occupations or roles held by nobles in Yurgenschmidt which includes: Attendants, Knights, and Scholars.

The duties of a retainer depend on their occupation or role.

Education

All retainers must attend the Royal Academy and graduate from the specific course based on their expcted role (attendant's course, knight's course, or scholor's course).

Equipment

Only knights have specific equipment requirements that usually include a cape, various types of armor, some rations, and a weapon.
