Part 2

Spring Prayer and Tour

Sylvester is introduced to Myne as a blue priest, who accompanies her and Ferdinand for Spring Prayer. He took a keen interest in Myne and her surroundings and requests a tour through the orphanage and the Myne workshop. There he met Benno and talked with him in secret. He also demands a visit to the lower city's forest to hunt. He joined Lutz and Leon, who are responsible to take him and the orphans to the forest. Dressed in the clothes Myne got for him, he departs with a bow in hand with the group. During the time in the forest, he interacts actively with the orphans and asked them about Myne. Despite his child-like behavior, he is shown to take Myne's safety seriously, when giving her a magical necklace for protection after their parting of ways at the end of the forest trip.

Archduke Conference and Kidnapping

While Sylvester is away with Karstedt due to his responsibility as Aub Ehrenfest, Count Bindewald entered Ehrenfest with a forged permission from the High Bishop. A fight occurred in front of the High Priest's room. After Ferdinand stepped in and the fight almost ended, Sylvester made his appearance with Karstedt. He introduces himself as Aub Ehrenfest and acted as judge and listened to everyone's story. There he reveals that Myne is his adoptive daughter and took Count Bindewald and the High Bishop into custody.

Part 3

Rozemyne's Baptism Ceremony

During Rozemyne's baptism ceremony, Sylvester surprisingly announces Rozemyne's adoption to all nobles in attendance and bestows the role of the High Bishop on her until she comes of age. They sign an adoption contract, which officially makes Rozemyne his adopted daughter. The ceremony is finished, and the after-party begins. He comes up to Rozemyne with his wife Florencia and his first-born son Wilfried for an official introduction conducted by Karstedt.

Day of the Noble's Starbind Ceremony

Sylvester and his family have an early dinner together in the Archduke's castle. Ferdinand and Rozemyne are present as well. His two unbaptized children Charlotte and Melchior are not allowed to participate. Rozemyne asks him about the details for visiting the Italian Restaurant, like which day to visit and other things. He proposes three days after the Starbind Ceremony, as he will be busy resting the following day and seeing off the married couples the day after that. When everyone was seated, he put on his archduke act and begins the dinner and leads the conversation about the Starbind Ceremony. At the end of the dinner, Charlotte and Melchior are brought into to wish each other a good night. That's the only time of a day when he gets to interact with his unbaptized children.

Sylvester is in charge of reciting the tales during the Starbind Ceremony, while Rozemyne, present as Temple Hierarchy#High Bishop, gives the blessings. He is worried about her not bringing the bible, but she reassures him by explaining that she has everything memorized she needs for the ceremony. They sit together atop the altar, with Karstedt standing guard beside Sylvester, and talk about people they know, before the Starbind Ceremony begins. Sylvester gives insight to why nobody approaches Ferdinand and tells her about Brigitte's circumstances. He is startled by her reaction and states that Brigitte's story is common in noble society. With the beginning of the ceremony, the couples lined up, and Sylvester started to recite the tales. He had them all memorized. Finished with the recitation, Sylvester calls each couple to step forth one after another, confirming their will to marry, and handing them a contract to sign. After all contracts have been signed, Rozemyne steps forth, and he whispers that she should overdo her blessings a bit, as he also wants to promote her being a saint.

Part 4 Volume 7

Ever since Wilfried started working with him, Sylvester has become far more reliable in doing his own work, since he does not want to embarass himself in front of or be a bad example to his first-born son.

When Rozemyne returns to Ehrenfest in her second Royal Academy year to rest after collapsing and to prepare for the dedication ritual, she helps Sylvester out with his work much like Wilfried does during the rest of the year. During a tea-break in their work, Sylvester states that he has become convinced that Rozemyne has become "infected" with Ferdinand's work obsession. He tells her that he wishes to rectify this and give her resting time by sending her to the temple, under the pretense of investigating how to create ceremonial ritual stages, like the one in Haldenzel for provinces that currently lack one, while Ferdinand is distracted with gathering information and socializing.

After her departure for the temple, Sylvester researches the issue of the ritual stages on his own in an archive only accessible to the Aub. It is unclear whether his stated worry was real, or if he was solely saying this to manipulate Rozemyne into leaving without a minimum of fuzz, since she surely would have relentlessly pushed for being allowed to read the contents of the restricted archive, had she learned of it right there and then.

With Ferdinand originally pushing for Rozemyne to work with Sylvester, in large part so she can keep an eye on him, and her presence acting to motivate Sylvester to not slack off, there is also a good chance that Sylvester had further ulterior motives in getting rid of Rozemyne, so he could slack off once he finished his investigation.

Part 5

Part 5 Volume 4

During a family meeting, Rozemyne's apprentice attendant Brunhilde - the daughter of Giebe Groschel - steps forward and asks permission to speak. To everyone's surprise, she offers herself up to Sylvester to marry as his second wife as a bridge between him and the Leisegang faction. Due to Florencia's pregnancy, Sylvester can not take another wife for about two years without endangering the unborn child, but Brunhilde is a fifth year, so between the year until her graduation and the customary one-year engagement period, she is the ideal age to get engaged with Sylvester. As the daughter of Giebe Groschel, she is also of one of the highest status Leisegang families, which will be invaluable in the current political situation. Finally with her being of the new generation, she is also ideal to facilitate the generational shift to nobles more willing to and experienced with interacting with higher ranking duchies and the Royal Family. For all these reasons, Sylvester accepts her and, at Brunhilde's own insistence, pretends that it was his idea to marry her to the rest of the duchy.

After the meeting, he is visited by Rihyarda, who offers to return to his service to make up for the retainers he lost in the purge. Initially, Sylvester is reluctant to take her away from Rozemyne, but after his adopted daughter insists he take Rihyarda back, he is very grateful for the sorely needed help.

Over the next days, he negotiates with Giebe Groschel and officially announces his engagement with Brunhilde at the Feast Celebrating Spring.

Part 5 Volume 6

During the rebuilding of Groschel, Sylvester has a much easier time using Entwickeln than previously, thanks to his new divine protections and becoming omni-elemental.

Just a short time later, in early autumn, Florencia gives birth to a healthy girl.
