Viscount Gerlach is the governing noble of the Ehrenfest province of Gerlach.
History
Viscount Gerlach had a long and close relationship with the High Priest.
Story
Viscount Gerlach is seen to hire the ink guildmaster Wolf to get a grip on Myne, and presumably murdered him when he failed his mission.
During Myne's first Spring Prayer as an apprentice priestess, Viscount Gerlach specifically requests that she visits his province. When her party arrives in Gerlach he appears very eager to meet her. Ferdinand finds his invitation very suspicious and thus has Myne hide her face with a hood, mentioning that he is a noble to be weary against due to his connections with the High Priest.
Trivia
- Viscount Gerlach was shown to be the noble conspiring with Wolf in the anime, but it was not specified in the light novel.
