Wilma (ヴィルマ Viruma) is a gray priestess who becomes one of Myne's retainers at the Ehrenfest cathedral. She draws art for Myne's "Holy Scriptures for Kids" and helps take care of the youngest children in the cathedral orphanage.
Appearance
Wilma has brown eyes and light auburn hair, which she wears braided and pinned up in a low bun. Like all gray priestesses, she wears plain gray robes tied at the waist with a red sash and belt.
Personality
A kind, soft-spoken, and hard-working young woman, Wilma is a loving caretaker for the children of the orphanage. She loves to make art and enjoys challenging herself to draw new styles and subjects, often getting absorbed in her work.
Due to her past experiences, Wilma is nervous when outside the orphanage, especially around adult men. However, her passion for her work and her determination to overcome her fears are helping her become braver day by day.
History
Wilma was raised in the Ehrenfest cathedral orphanage and became a gray priestess. She previously served alongside Rosina as a retainer of Christine, an apprentice blue priestess. Because of her talent for art, Christine prized Wilma's services highly and gave her preferential treatment compared to the other retainers. Unlike Rosina, however, Wilma understood that their treatment was not "normal" by cathedral standards.
At some point before coming of age, Wilma was tricked by a blue priest who attemped to sexually assault her. The experience left her with lasting trauma and a fear of being around men.
After Christine left the church, her retainers were returned to the orphanage. Because there were so few gray priestesses, Wilma took responsibility for the young children in the orphanage as an unofficial caregiver.
Story
Myne first meets Wilma right after becoming the orphanage director. Wilma is among those that get an extra reward for doing particularly good work in the cleaning of the orphanage. In Wilmas case the act that earned her the extra food was her being the first to rush to help and clean the unbaptised children.[1]
Myne offers Wilma to become her attendant, which she initially refused, due to her androphobia and her responsibility for the unbaptized orphans. Myne gained insight into Wilma's past and the reason why she is hesitant. As Myne still wishes for Wilma to become her attendant, she proposed favorable terms, allowing her to stay in the orphanage. Wilma gladly accepts Myne's offer and becomes her attendant.
Myne respects Wilma's decisions and minds Wilma's situation which is shown by her act of taking Rosina to the orphanage for visits instead of Fran and Myne's effort to think of a solution to Wilma's problem.
Wilma's artistic talent lies in drawing and painting, which Myne then puts to use in the crafts she is making.
